Alice T Poteat is a dedicated software engineer with a robust background in software development and research. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Volley since May 2019, Alice is involved in business critical projects and actively facilitates problem-solving among team members. Previously held roles include Senior Software Engineering Manager, overseeing a proprietary voice application engine, and Software Engineer, focusing on back-end systems for a leading voice games company. Prior experience includes conducting graduate research at the ODU Virginia Modeling, Analysis & Simulation Center, where algorithms for autonomous naval vehicles were developed, and undergraduate research at the Old Dominion University Research Foundation, contributing to bioinformatics challenges. Alice holds a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, as well as an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Tidewater Community College.
