Global CEO at Ditch the Label

Dr Liam Hackett MBE, a prominent figure in youth empowerment and mental health support, has a diverse work experience. In 2012, they became the Global CEO of Ditch the Label, a global non-profit organization dedicated to helping and empowering Gen Z through various issues such as mental health, online toxicity, bullying, relationships, and identity. During their tenure, Dr Hackett successfully reached millions of young people worldwide through research, direct support, classroom education, and campaigns in collaboration with major consumer brands.

In 2019, Dr Hackett ventured into the publishing industry as a book author, releasing their debut work, "FEARLESS." Published by Scholastic, the 160-page book provides guidance on embracing one's true self and addresses contemporary challenges faced by young individuals, including body image, mental health, unconscious bias, friendships, and stereotypes.

Prior to their roles at Ditch the Label and Scholastic, Dr Hackett served as the Managing Director of Hackett and Tiger Limited, a digital marketing agency specializing in social media, influencer engagement, and youth engagement. Through various digital tactics, the agency assisted youth brands, governments, and charitable causes in better connecting and engaging with their online audiences.

Furthermore, Dr Hackett gained valuable experience during their time at the University of Sussex as a Residential Advisor from 2010 to 2012 and as a Marketing Assistant from 2009 to 2010. Before that, they served as a Marketing Executive at Arlingsworth Solicitors from 2010 to 2011 and at Trinity Leisure from 2009 to 2011. Dr Liam began their professional journey in 2006 at Dubit Ltd., specializing in Youth Engagement Marketing until 2010.

Dr Liam Hackett MBE completed their Doctorate of the University at the University of Sussex in 2018. Before that, they obtained a BSc. (Honours) degree in Business and Management (Marketing) from the University of Sussex from 2009 to 2012. Dr Liam completed their A-Levels in Business Studies, Computer Science, and English Literature at Carmel College from 2007 to 2009. Dr Liam'ssecondary education was at Sutton High Sports College, where they completed their GCSEs from 2002 to 2007.
