Chris Nicol is an accomplished electrical engineer with over a decade of experience, currently working at SMART Technologies since July 2010, focusing on developing hardware for innovative educational devices, including DViT interactive whiteboards. Previously, Chris served as a firmware engineer, contributing to firmware development and diagnostic tools for the same product line. Additional experience includes working as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities included designing and repairing educational devices, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Early career experience includes electronics engineering at Grindcom, developing control systems for the forestry industry. Chris Nicol holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
