Karen Cruz, Ed.M. is an experienced educator and project manager with a background in science education and equity. Currently serving as a Bilingual Project Manager and Video Editor at Discovery Education since April 2021, Karen has previously worked as a Program Facilitator at ImmSchools and a Production Assistant at Princeton University, supporting the Princeton University Art Museum. Earlier experience includes teaching science at Greenhill School and serving as an Equity and Inclusion Fellow at Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Karen's teaching career began at Dallas Independent School District as a high school science teacher. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Learning & Teaching from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's degree in Italian and History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health from Yale University.
