William Tong is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in payment solutions and digital transformation. Currently serving as CTO of Payments Technology at Discover Financial Services, Tong focuses on delivering innovative payment solutions globally. Previously, as the CTO and Global Head of Payment Solutions at FIS, Tong oversaw a comprehensive range of payment systems. Tong's earlier roles include Head of Product Engineering at Allvue Systems, where alternative investment product engineering was managed, and Global Head of Product Engineering at FIS, responsible for various payment and customer service solutions. Tong's career at Citi spanned over two decades, culminating in leadership positions in digital product delivery and transformation. William Tong holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University.
