Laura Murchie currently serves as a Staff Attorney at the Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this role, Laura worked as a Litigation Staff Attorney at Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta from January 2022 to January 2024 and as a Direct Services Attorney at the Southern Poverty Law Center between September 2018 and January 2022. Laura's legal career began as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Executive Office for Immigration Review, followed by legal internships and volunteer positions with organizations such as Human Rights First, the International Refugee Assistance Project, and the GW Immigration Clinic. Laura obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies and Theater from the University of Miami.
