Hendrik (Ian) de Ruiter has had a varied work experience. Since 2021, they have been with DirectBooks, where they currently hold the roles of Manager, Platform Engagement and Consultant. In 2020, they were a Summer Associate with West Fourth Partners. From 2014 to 2013, they worked at AllianceBernstein, where they were a SRM Analyst / Jr. Trader and Regional Consultant. In 2013, they were a Trader's Assistant with R. Seelaus & Co., Inc. Hendrik (Ian) was a Wealth Management Intern with Merrill Lynch in both 2012 and 2011.

Hendrik (Ian) de Ruiter is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at NYU Stern School of Business, which they began in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2021. Prior to this, they studied abroad at Maastricht University. Hendrik (Ian) also holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Administration from Muhlenberg College. Additionally, they obtained a Series 7 certification from FINRA in August 2013.
