Josh Ramirez, MPA, CPM, currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for Internal Services at the City of Harlingen since February 2022. Since August 2013, Josh has held the position of Permanent Deacon at Holy Family Church, after being ordained on February 3, 2018. Previously, Josh worked as the Environmental Health Director at the City of Harlingen from May 2017 to February 2022 and as the Director of Health & Code Enforcement for the City of McAllen from June 2008 to April 2017, where responsibilities included managing environmental health programs and emergency response coordination for immigrants at the Sacred Heart Respite Center. Earlier career roles include Public Health Director for the City of Brownsville and various positions within that city's health department, along with experience in parking enforcement and city communications. Josh is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies at Our Lady of the Lake University, holding a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a BAAS in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
