David Kavanaugh has extensive work experience in the legal and investment fields. David started their career as an Attorney at Jenner & Block LLP in 2004 and later joined Andrews Kurth LLP in 2006, where they worked as an Attorney until 2011. In 2011, they transitioned to Dimensional Fund Advisors, initially serving as Counsel until 2014. From 2014 to 2019, they took on various leadership roles within the company, including Head of Operations for Financial Advisor Services and Head of Global Client Group Operations. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Global Head of Investment Operations and Vice President at Dimensional Fund Advisors. Currently, they hold the position of Global Head of Investment Operations and Vice President at the company.

David Kavanaugh attended Wood River High School, although no specific dates were provided. David then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1997 to 2001.
