Sonya Paclob is a web designer at Digital Wave Technologies. Prior to that, they were an adjunct instructor of photography at Tidewater Community College from January 2016 to January 2017. Sonya was also a freelancer for Catholic News Service from July 2015 to December 2015, where they covered local stories in The Peninsula and Hampton Roads of Virginia as a photographer and writer. Additionally, Ms. Paclob was a multimedia journalist at the York Daily Record from April 2013 to December 2014, and a motion graphics designer at WOUB Public Media from August 2012 to December 2012.
Sonya Paclob attended Tidewater Community College for two years, where they received an Associate of Applied Science in Multimedia and Graphic Design. Sonya then transferred to Ohio University and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Photojournalism. After graduation, they returned to Tidewater Community College to earn an Applied Associate Studio Arts in Photography. In addition to their formal education, Sonya Paclob has also completed a certification from the European Journalism Centre in Data Driven Journalism MOOC and a certification from the Health & Safety Institute (HSI) in CPR, AED & Basic First Aid.
