John Jacob is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as the Executive Director of Strategic Operations at BC Children's & Women's Hospitals and as a Senior Director for Strategy & Innovation at BC Children's Hospital, roles held since 2016. In addition to these positions, John Jacob is the Founder and Head of the Digital Lab at BC Children's Hospital and holds an adjunct professor title at The University of British Columbia. Jacob contributes to pediatric medicine as the Director of Innovation and works as an Investigator at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute. Previous experience includes being a Paramedic at BC Emergency Health Services and a faculty member at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Educational credentials include a PhD in Health Innovation from City, University of London, an MSc in Health Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, an MBA from The University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business, and completion of a Postgraduate Clinical Research Program at Harvard Medical School.
