Marcelo Lanas has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Marcelo started their career in 1983 as a Programming Manager at Webcraft Technologies, Inc, where they managed a team of programmers and provided support for a direct mail business. Marcelo later moved on to become the Data and Database Services Marketing Manager at Webcraft Incorporated, where they worked until 1999.
In 1999, Marcelo joined Naviant as the Director of Business Development, where they were responsible for developing sales strategies and marketing proposals. From 1999 to 2006, they held the position of Director of Business Development Data & Analytics at Equient, where they continued to educate potential clients and partners on database marketing and data management services.
In 2006, Marcelo joined Catalyst Direct, Inc as the Director of Business Development Data & Analytics, where they presented campaign and analytical results, as well as strategic recommendations, to clients. Marcelo then joined hawkeye in 2007 as the VP of Business Development Data & Analytics.
Marcelo also worked at ATABA Marketing Services as a Contracted Business Consultant, providing marketing expertise to clients. In 2014, they temporarily transitioned into the field of cybersecurity as the NSC Cyber Technician Assistant Cyber Security at Anne Arundel Community College.
From 2015 to 2016, Marcelo worked as a Sr. Network Operations Center Technician at Rockwell Collins ARINC, where they provided 24x7 oversight and information gathering for mission-critical operations.
Since 2016, Marcelo has been employed by Digital Hands as a Cybersecurity Engineer. Their role involves providing administration and support for various information security tools and devices while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of investigations/forensics and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Throughout their career, Marcelo has demonstrated a strong technical skill set and expertise in cybersecurity, network operations, and database marketing.
Marcelo Lanas completed a Cyber Technology Certificate program at Anne Arundel Community College from 2013 to 2014, focusing on Cyber Security. In addition to their education, Marcelo obtained certifications such as CCNA from Cisco in October 2014, A+ from CompTIA in August 2014, Network+ from CompTIA in August 2014, and Security+ from CompTIA in May 2014.
