Rafael Kaufmann Nedal has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rafael is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Digital Gaia since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Google from 2015 to 2022, holding positions such as Product Operations Manager and Technical Program Manager. Rafael also founded RioLabs in 2015 and served as its Founder for a few months. Rafael was also a Project Leader at re.Inventa/IRES from 2013 to 2015, focused on raising funds for the non-profit initiative. Additionally, Rafael co-founded ResolveAí in 2010 and held multiple roles such as Founder, CTO, and Developer. At ResolveAí, they led the team in building and launching Brazil's first taxi app and platform. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at FGV Projetos from 2006 to 2011, collaborating on various economic and business consulting projects. Rafael's notable achievement includes developing a Bayesian model of long-run regional and global fuel prices with proven accuracy, which was published in a joint whitepaper with Ernst & Young.

Rafael Kaufmann Nedal's education history began in 1999 when they enrolled at Colégio pH, where they pursued studies in an unspecified field. This period lasted until 2000.

In 2001, Rafael continued their education at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), where they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mathematics. Their studies at PUC-Rio lasted until 2005, at which point they completed their M.Sc. in Mathematics.
