Jacob Sorensen has a diverse work experience in the animation industry. Jacob started their career at Method Studios in 2016 as a Senior Animator and worked there until 2018. During this time, they also served as a Lead Animator at GOLDTOOTH from July 2018 to December 2018, and at Hydraulx from December 2018 to March 2019. In 2019, they joined MPC as a Senior Animator from March to July, and later worked as an Animation Supervisor at GOLDTOOTH from July to October. In 2019, they returned to Method Studios as a Senior Animator and stayed until June 2020. Jacob then joined Rocket Science VFX as a Senior Animator for a brief period in June and July 2020. Afterwards, they served as a Senior Animator at Scanline VFX from July 2020 to November 2020. Currently, Jacob is employed at Digital Domain as a Lead Animator since November 2020.

Jacob Sorensen attended the Think Tank Training Center from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a Certificate in Animation. Prior to that, they attended Windsor Secondary School and received a dogwood diploma.
