Andrew Watson is a highly skilled motion control engineer with extensive experience in motion systems and automation. Currently serving as a Senior Motion Systems Technician at Diamond Light Source since March 2015, Andrew has also taken on a Director position at Chase Motion Ltd from November 2023 to May 2024. As a self-employed motion control engineer for eight years, Andrew honed expertise in the field while contributing as part of the stage crew for Cannock Wood and Gentleshaw Musical Society. Previous roles include Sales Engineer at Total Motion Systems Ltd and IT Manager at Stebon Ltd, along with quality control for sub-contract builds at Mitac (UK) Ltd. Andrew holds an HND in Software Engineering from the University of Staffordshire, completed in 2000.
