Sam Geall is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental and energy policy. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Dialogue Earth since September 2019, Sam also holds roles as Acting CEO and Executive Director. In addition, Sam is an Associate Fellow at Chatham House within the Energy, Environmental and Resources Department, and a Research Fellow focused on Low Carbon Innovation in China at the University of Sussex. Sam's editorial expertise is demonstrated through a long-standing tenure as Executive Editor and Deputy Editor at chinadialogue, the world's only fully bilingual environmental website. Previous academic roles include a Departmental Lecturer in Human Geography of China at the University of Oxford. Sam's educational background includes a PhD in Social Anthropology from The University of Manchester, further research at Peking University, and studies at Harvard University and the University of Leeds.
