Dr. Hayat Sindi is a prominent biotechnologist and entrepreneur, currently serving as the CEO and Founder of the Institute for Quality (iQ) since May 2022. Recognized as a UNESCO Ambassador for Science since 2012, Dr. Sindi aims to foster entrepreneurship and social innovation for scientists and technologists across the Middle East. As the first woman from the Gulf with a PhD in biotechnology, Dr. Sindi possesses extensive experience in various organizations, including roles as a Board Member of the UN Secretary General Scientific Advisory Board and a Member of the Saudi Shura Council. Other significant contributions include founding the i2 Institute for Imagination and Ingenuity and co-founding Diagnostics For All. Dr. Sindi’s academic background includes notable institutions such as the University of Cambridge and Harvard University, where advanced studies in biotechnology and business have been undertaken.
