Lucy Chambers is a seasoned professional in the fields of research, insight, impact, and communications within diabetes and nutrition. Currently serving as the Head of Research Insight, Impact and Communications at Diabetes UK since October 2019, Lucy has held multiple roles including Head of Research Communications and Type 1 Lead. Previous experience includes an Honorary Senior Research Fellow position at the University of Sussex from September 2014 to September 2020, and Senior Scientist and Editor of Nutrition Bulletin at the British Nutrition Foundation from January 2015 to October 2019. Lucy has also contributed as a Principal Scientist at Leatherhead Food Research and has held various research fellowships at the University of Sussex and University College London. Educationally, Lucy holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology and a BSc in Neuroscience, both from the University of Sussex.
