Freija Houthuijzen is an experienced dietitian currently working at Diabeter since July 2014, providing support to children and young adults with diabetes at the Rotterdam and Schiphol locations. Prior to this role, Freija served as a clinical dietitian at Amphia Ziekenhuis from August 2008 to July 2014, focusing on gynecology, urology, psychiatry, and pediatrics, and also worked as a nutrition assistant in various departments. Freija completed a bachelor thesis evaluating postoperative enteral feeding policies at UMC Utrecht during a paramedical internship in 2011-2012. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Evidence Based Practice in Epidemiology from the University of Amsterdam and a post-HBO course in Diabetes Care from HAN University of Applied Sciences, in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
