Herbert Yang serves as the General Manager for Asia at DFINITY since July 2021, focusing on building the ecosystem for the Internet Computer and incubating blockchain startups in the region. Prior to this role, Herbert worked at Amazon Web Services as the Head of Business Development for VC/Startup in the Greater China Region from June 2018 to June 2021, where efforts included fostering a startup ecosystem and collaborating with venture capitalists and incubators. Herbert's experience also includes serving as Deputy Secretary General at Wu Zuoren International Foundation of Fine Arts, where noteworthy contributions were made to contemporary art development in China. Other significant positions held include CEO of Century Innovative Technology Limited, Founder and CEO of Linkqlo Inc, Director at YunFeng Capital, and CFO at Beijing UMessage Information Technologies. Herbert's financial acumen was further demonstrated in roles at GE Capital, including Vice President of Finance and Senior Associate in GE's Corporate Audit Staff. Herbert holds a Master of Science from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BBA (Honors) in Finance from the National University of Singapore.
