Kasun Hewagama is a seasoned data professional with a strong background in data engineering and business intelligence. Currently serving as the Lead Data Warehouse and BI Engineer at DFCC Bank PLC since May 2023, Kasun previously worked at Digital Micro Services from December 2020 to April 2023 in various roles including Data Engineer, Associate Data Engineer, Big Data Developer, and Trainee Big Data Developer. Expertise includes technologies such as Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Apache Nifi, and programming languages like Python, Scala, and Java. Kasun holds a BSc(Hons) in Information Technology with a specialization in Data Science from SLIIT, completed in March 2022, and received foundational education at Taxila Central College - Horana between 2014 and 2017.
