Yan Song has extensive experience in data science and analysis, currently serving as a data scientist at DeZyre since 2015, where expertise in machine learning and decision-making applications has been developed. Prior to this, Yan worked as an FMLA processor at Verizon from 2009 to 2014, responsible for implementing employee requests and maintaining compliance with labor laws. At IBM’s Watson Research Center from 2007 to 2009, data management duties included collecting and cleaning multilingual audio and text data and testing speech-to-speech translation accuracy for DARPA projects. Between 2005 and 2007, Yan held a post-doctoral position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, conducting quantitative assessments related to radiation treatment and cancer. Earlier, Yan was a visiting assistant professor at the University of Houston from 2004 to 2005, where simulations of stress distribution in human bones were performed and calculus-based physics was taught. Yan Song earned a PhD in Particle Physics from The University of Texas at Arlington between 1997 and 2003.
