Alex Holehouse is an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Washington University School of Medicine, where his lab leverages a range of computational and experimental approaches to understand how disordered proteins mediate biological function. In particular, the lab integrates physics-based models with informatics and machine learning, with a major focus on understanding how disordered proteins contribute to cellular information-processing, and how this can go awry in disease.
