Laurie Burlingame is currently the Legal Counsel at DeuteRx. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Goodwin Procter LLP, where they worked for 15 years and 10 months. Laurie has also interned at the Small Business Development Center at Clark University for 1 year and 9 months.
Laurie has experience working with private and public companies across the spectrum of the life sciences industry, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics and biological materials. Laurie has also represented leading life science venture capital firms and investment advisors in connection with their portfolio company investments. Laurie often serves as outside general counsel to their clients, closely advising management teams and boards of directors on a wide variety of matters, including formation and founder issues, venture capital financings, initial public offerings (including deSPAC transactions) and follow-on public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, licensing transactions, spin-out transactions strategic collaborations, commercial transactions, corporate governance and other general corporate matters.
Laurie is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and has served as a mentor for many university start-up programs. Laurie has also served as a judge for numerous business plan competitions, including the MIT 100K.
