Shay Vaughn is a Major Gift Officer at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra since August 2022, bringing extensive experience from the University of Michigan where various roles included Annual Giving and Data Services Coordinator, Development Generalist, Planned Gift Coordinator, Administrative Partner, Wolverine Pathways Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant from May 2016 to August 2022. Prior experience includes co-owning WhippedDetroit from July 2014 to December 2018, serving as a Construction Management Intern at NTH Consultants, Ltd. from June 2010 to August 2014, and holding research positions at the University of Michigan College of Engineering and the Center for Global and Intercultural Study, as well as a research role at Meritor. Shay Vaughn holds a Bachelor in General Studies from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.
