Colton Dale has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Colton started their career as a Legislative Intern at Congressman Gary Peters' District Office, where they handled office tasks and assisted with constituent communications. Colton then interned for Kevin McNamara's campaign for Wayne County Executive and later served as a College Coordinator for Bernie 2016. Colton also gained experience in campaign management, working as a Campaign Intern for Sandra Bucciero for State Representative and as a Campaign Manager for the Iowa House Truman Fund.

Colton's experience in economic development includes roles at the City of Oak Park, where they served as an Economic Development and Planning Specialist. Colton also held positions as a Business Development Manager and Senior Business Development Manager at Wayne County Economic Development. Currently, Colton is working as a Business Development Manager at the Detroit Regional Partnership.

Colton Dale pursued their education at Wayne State University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government in the time period of 2011 to 2015. Continuing their academic journey, they then pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration from the same institution from 2017 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Colton also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Colton acquired the "Economic Development Basic Course" from the Michigan Economic Developers Association in November 2020. Furthermore, Colton earned the certification in "Effective Communication in the Municipal Environment" from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business in August 2019. Lastly, they obtained the "Standard First Aid, CPR and AED" certification from the American Red Cross in July 2019.
