Daniel Newport has a diverse work experience. Daniel started their career at Starfish Family Services in 2002 as an Office Support Specialist, and later became a Central Intake Coordinator in 2006. In 2014, they joined Detroit Labs as an Android Developer Apprentice, and eventually became an Android Developer. In 2019, they took on the role of People Support and Developer Coach. Most recently, in 2022, Daniel joined Detroit Labs as an Engagement and Development professional.

Daniel Newport attended Wayne State University, where they studied Literature. No specific start or end years were given for their education at this institution.
