Karl Pietrzak, CDME, CASE has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Karl began their career in 1995 as a Sales Manager at the Westin William Penn. In 1998, they moved to the Westin Cincinnati as a Sales Manager. One year later, they joined the Hilton Pittsburgh as an Assistant Director of Sales. In 2003, they joined VisitPIttsburgh as a Vice President of Convention Sales, and was later promoted to Senior National Sales Director and National Sales Director. In 2021, they assumed the role of President & CEO of Destination Gettysburg.

Karl Pietrzak obtained a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management from Pennsylvania State University in 1992. In 2014, they were certified as a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) by Destinations International. In 2002, they were certified as a Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE) by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). In 2018, they graduated from Leadership Pittsburgh's Class XXXIV.
