Misty Servia is an experienced planning professional currently serving as the Planning Director for the DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners since May 2024. Misty owns Planner On Call and is the Vice President of Z Construction Company, a firm known for its integrity and quality in project delivery. Previously, Misty served as a Manatee County Commissioner from November 2018 to November 2022, representing District 4 and also holding board member duties at Port Manatee. With extensive experience at King Engineering Associates as Planning Department Manager and at the Manatee County Planning Department as Principal Planner, Misty has demonstrated expertise in land development, including site planning and entitlement work. Misty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a focus on Planning from Florida State University.
