Irene Lin, PE, currently serves as Project Manager at DeSimone Consulting Engineering since June 2015, with prior roles including Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, and Engineer. Irene gained valuable experience as an Intern at BrewJacket, Inc. in mid-2014, focusing on product design and assembly. Irene also contributed to the Cornell Concrete Canoe Project as Senior Mold Team Leader and Senior Analysis Team Leader, leading efforts in mold design and various casting techniques. An undergraduate researcher in the Hernandez Research Group, Irene worked with Matlab and Tcl on bone image processing. Irene participated in research at Bauhaus University Weimar, analyzing the stability of concrete electric pole models. As Career Development Chair for the Cornell Society of Women Engineers, Irene organized networking events for students and industry representatives. Educational achievements include a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University.
