Michael Khuth is a distinguished Thomas J. Watson Fellow at the Watson Foundation, recognized as one of 47 nationwide recipients, exploring the role of international queer artists in LGBTQ+ advocacy through photography in the project titled (Imag)ining Queerness. As the Founder and Editor in Chief of Generation Magazine, Michael successfully manages artist outreach and fundraising, securing $5,500 in funding to publish work celebrating the Cambodian diaspora. Additional experience includes serving as an MCBA Jerome Artist Mentee at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, a Curatorial Fellow at the Emerging Curators Institute, and a SEA Change Lab Storytellers Fellow with The SEAD Project, where Michael focuses on arts and storytelling in Southeast Asian communities. Michael's earlier roles involve assisting prominent photography and curatorial projects at institutions such as the Ministère de l'Intérieur and the Centre Pompidou, coupled with a strong academic background in Media and Cultural Studies from Macalester College.
