Mounia El Baz is a Senior Data Scientist at Descartes Underwriting since January 2022, focusing on research and development in wildfire risk. Previously, Mounia held various roles, including Data Scientist in the same domain, a Research Intern at CNRS where involvement included distance learning for unsupervised machine learning tasks, and a Software Engineering Intern at Dacker, responsible for developing Python connectors for various platforms. Mounia also gained experience as a Data Analyst Intern at CHANEL, contributing to the supply chain team with optimization of operational tools and reporting dashboards. Mounia holds a Master of Science in Mathematics, Machine Learning, and Computer Science from CentraleSupélec and a Master's degree in Mathematics, Vision, and Learning from ENS Paris-Saclay.
