Dr. Romy DeCristofaro currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services at Community Consolidated School District 62, a position held since July 2024. Prior to this role, Dr. DeCristofaro worked at Evanston/Skokie School District 65 as Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and Executive Director for Special Services from July 2019 to July 2024. Experience at Wilmette District 39 included roles as Administrator for Student Services, Assistant Director for Student Services, and Student Services Coordinator from August 2013 to June 2019. Earlier career experiences featured the role of Learning Behavior Specialist at Wilmette Public Schools from August 2007 to June 2013 and Learning Facilitator at Sycamore Community Schools from August 2003 to June 2007. Dr. DeCristofaro holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois Chicago and multiple Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Special Education and Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University.
