Senior Systems Support & Clinical Engineering Lead at Derive Technologies

Otto A. has a diverse work experience ranging from legal roles to management positions. Otto started their career as an Attorney at Matos & Associates, where they represented clients in criminal litigation and corporate governance matters. Otto had a successful track record, forming over 100 new corporations and closing key deals in land acquisition and global hospitality management. During this time, they also fostered direct client relationships at the level of a managing partner.

After their time at Matos & Associates, Otto became the Chief of Staff to the Director of Inspection at the Social Security Administration. In this role, they supervised 18 general managers and was responsible for the security and distribution of over 200 million Dominican pesos in aggregated assets. Otto successfully diminished bureaucratic hurdles for Dominican citizens to obtain medical insurance coverage and increased revenue by over 40% through enhanced oversight and optimized fraud detection and prevention procedures.

Otto then transitioned to the private sector, working as an Assistant Manager at Edison Properties, overseeing daily operations at a busy enterprise parking location. Otto handled custom requests from C-level and celebrity clientele and attended strategic meetings with executives.

Following their time at Edison Properties, Otto joined the team at David Katz & Associates as a Senior Law Clerk. Otto managed attorney workload, designed legal templates, conducted legal research and document reviews, and partnered closely with attorneys in evidence collection and trial preparation.

In 2001, Otto became the Managing Partner at Lugo & Alcántara Law Firm, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills and successfully managed the firm until 2015.

Most recently, Otto worked at Derive Technologies as the Senior Systems Support & Clinical Engineering Lead. In this role, they served as a region-wide leader in systems support and clinical engineering, advising and consulting with partners at various hospitals and networks. Otto onboarded and mentored new recruits and determined client needs for hardware upgrades, resulting in high client satisfaction and retention.

Otto A. has a diverse educational background. Otto started their education by obtaining a Doctor of Law - JD degree from the Universidad Eugenio María de Hostos in 1996. Otto then pursued further studies in international law and international relations by completing a Diploma in International Law & International Relations from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in 1997. Later, in 2004, they obtained an LLM Degree in Law from the Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

In addition to their formal education, Otto A. has also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they received a certification in Ergonomic Products & Technologies from Ergotron. In 2016, they acquired a certification in Computer Workstations, Medication Management, & Procedure Carts from Capsa Healthcare. Otto also holds a certification in Computer Workstations from Humanscale Healthcare (now part of Capsa Healthcare), obtained in 2014. Furthermore, they received a certification in Medication Management & Procedure Carts from Rubbermaid Commercial Products in 2012.
