Forhat Chowdhury is an experienced professional in the fields of shelter, water, sanitation, and disaster risk reduction. Currently serving as the Head of Shelter and WASH at People in Need since October 2023, Forhat previously held multiple roles at Save the Children International from April 2018 to October 2023, including Manager of Climate Responsive Infrastructure and Shelter Technical Advisor, with deployments in North-West Syria and Ukraine. Forhat's extensive experience encompasses construction support across the Asia Region, and leadership positions in disaster risk reduction and program management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from American International University-Bangladesh and two Master's degrees in Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies from the University of Dhaka.
