Alex Bednarek

Alex Bednarek is an experienced International Project Manager at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, specializing in Delivery Systems Threat Reduction since February 2021. Previously, Alex served as a Program Officer at the Nuclear Threat Initiative, where responsibilities included substantive support for international nuclear strategies and engagement in global discussions on the nuclear fuel cycle. Other roles included Program Assistant at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, focusing on U.S.-Russian cooperative threat reduction, and various positions at the Nuclear Threat Initiative that involved research on nuclear security and logistical support for regional workshops. Alex holds a Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Music from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Bridging Disciplines Program certification in International/Global Studies.
