Owen Hunt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental health and food safety management. Currently serving as Program Manager (Primary Produce Safety) and previously as Food Safety Management Officer at the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment (DPIPWE) since February 2014, Owen has played a key role in promoting food safety standards. Prior to this, Owen worked as an Environmental Health Consultant at SEAM from February 2007 to February 2014 and held the position of Environmental Health Technical Officer at Clarence City Council from June 2001 to February 2007. Owen began a career in food safety as a Food Safety Manager at Maypole Foods P/L from March 1999 to May 2001. Owen holds an Advanced Diploma in Environmental Health from TAFE Tasmania and has completed further education at the Australian Maritime College in 2008 and 2009.
