Shannon Steinbauer is a seasoned professional in public health and lead poisoning prevention, currently serving as the Audit Liaison Division Director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development since January 2017. Shannon has held multiple roles within HUD, including Senior Program Advisor and Programs Division Director for the Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes, where responsibilities involve directing lead-based paint hazard control grant programs and improving community health initiatives. Additionally, Shannon is an Ex-Officio Board Member of the National Environmental Education Foundation since July 2019 and has previously worked in various capacities at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Sedgwick County Health Department, focusing on lead poisoning prevention and healthy homes.
