Michael Lawyer is an experienced professional currently serving as the Deputy Director of HCS for Accessibility Programs at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development since June 2009, overseeing Personnel Security and Reasonable Accommodations programs. Michael has held various leadership roles within HUD, including Director of Operations and Director of Human Resource Management in the Office of Field Policy Management, and has worked as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes. Prior experience includes law clerk positions at Wheeler and Engelhart and Greenhouse & Gram, research assistant roles at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, and a legal content internship at Thomson West. Michael holds a JD Candidate degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a BA in Creativity from Bethel University.
