Cory Lawing completed their education with a high school diploma with honors from Smith Valley High School in 2004. Cory then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from Truckee Meadows Community College from 2004 to 2007. Continuing their education, Cory obtained another Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, majoring in Business Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Nevada, Reno from 2004 to 2009.
