Dr. Yanzhao Jia is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in electrification R&D, currently serving as Assistant Technical Manager and Team Lead at DENSO since April 2014. In this role, Dr. Jia leads R&D projects focusing on model predictive control and artificial intelligence for advanced driving assistance systems, optimal control of hybrid electric vehicle energy management, and online numerical optimization. Previous positions include Senior Research Engineer and System Engineer in the Department of EV & HEV, and a Masterand role at IAV GmbH, where Dr. Jia developed power management strategies and optimized hybrid powertrain designs. An intern at Toyota Motor Europe, Dr. Jia has a robust academic background with a Doctor of Engineering from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and multiple degrees in engineering from RWTH Aachen University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
