Ofelia Utset, M.D., M.B.A. serves as the President of Deluge Biotechnologies since April 2017, focusing on synthesizing and screening DNA-encoded one bead one compound libraries for challenging protein targets. Previously, Ofelia held the position of Director of Biomarker Development at OPKO Health, Inc., where collaborations with academic medical centers were established to identify early biomarkers for autoimmune and infectious diseases. Ofelia's medical career includes roles as a pulmonary faculty member at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a physician at Southwest Pulmonary Associates. Ofelia's extensive education includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and an Executive MBA from Florida Atlantic University, along with specialized training in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
