Rachna Desai, BSN, RN, is a dedicated Registered Nurse at Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation, with experience since July 2020 in pediatric surgical and trauma nursing. Rachna has excelled in various roles, including primary preceptor and charge nurse, while also co-founding and chairing the Unit Based Council and morale committee. Responsibilities encompass providing comprehensive pre and post-surgical care, recognizing acute changes in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment, and administering medications across various routes. Rachna actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to advocate for patients and has received recognition for outstanding preceptorship. Additionally, Rachna completed a senior capstone preceptorship focused on hands-on nursing care for children and served as an undergraduate teaching assistant at Texas State University during 2018. Rachna holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas State University, earned in 2020, and completed high school at Flower Mound High School in 2015.
