Philip Rooney is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Delhaize Belgium since October 2024. Prior experience includes leading artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives at AECOM from June 2021 to October 2024, and co-founding DataJavelin, where responsibilities included serving as Chief Executive Officer from January 2018 to February 2023. Philip Rooney also contributed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sussex from September 2015 to June 2018, focusing on X-ray properties of galaxy clusters and patient risk estimation using electronic healthcare records, while engaging in various projects within the Data Intensive Science Centre (DISCUS).
