Thea Tran CFS CAPM has a range of experience in the food industry. Thea began their career as a Lab contractor at PepsiCo Quaker Oats in 2009. Thea then worked as a Food Scientist at Tampico Beverages from 2010 to 2011, where they contributed to product development and evaluated sweetener blends. Thea later joined Corbion as an Application Scientist from 2011 to 2013, where they focused on developing applications and managing sensory tests. From 2014 to 2019, Thea worked as a Food Scientist at Draco Natural Products, providing support in product development and commercial launches. Thea'smost recent role, starting in 2019, is as a Lead Scientist at Del Monte Foods, Inc., where they have worked in both Tomato R&D and Fruit R&D. Thea has demonstrated expertise in regulatory affairs, research and development, and customer support.
Thea Tran CFS CAPM earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in 2007. Thea then pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2009. In 2013, they obtained a degree in Applied Sensory and Consumer Science from UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education. In 2017, Thea Tran CFS CAPM completed a Project Management Certificate program from Coursera, specializing in Project Management. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including CAPM (Certified Associate Project Management) from the Project Management Institute in May 2018, and the Certified Food Scientist designation from the Institute of Food Technologists in 2015. Thea has also completed additional courses and workshops related to project management.
