Melinda Carmichael, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, serves as the Chief Administrative Officer at Del Mar Fairgrounds since 2019, previously holding the position of Human Resources Director. Melinda gained valuable experience as an MBA student at Missouri State University from 2018 to 2020. Prior roles include Chief Human Resources & Compliance Officer at Arch Health Medical Group (2016-2017), Director of Human Resources at St. Paul's Senior Services (2015-2016), Regional Human Resources Director at Saks OFF 5TH (2010-2013), Western U.S. Human Resources Manager at The Vitamin Shoppe (2008-2010), Regional Human Resources Manager at The Sports Authority (2005-2008), and Human Resources Manager at The Home Depot (2000-2005). Melinda holds a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Missouri State University, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Baker College.
