Robert Sharman has over 40 years of work experience in various roles within the semiconductor industry. Robert is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer at Device Engineering Inc (DEI), where they have been since August 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing at DEI starting from January 2015. Before joining DEI, Sharman worked as a Director of Sales at the same company from July 2011 to January 2015.

Earlier in their career, Sharman served as a Consultant for US Business Development at Sital Technology from July 2010 to December 2013. Robert also worked as the Director of North American Sales for the National Hybrid Division at API Technologies from November 2009 to June 2010. Prior to that, they were the Western Regional Sales Manager at API Nanotronics from 2008 to 2009.

Sharman gained extensive experience at Data Device Corporation, where they held the role of Regional Sales Manager/Technical Sales Manager from 2000 to 2007. Before that, they worked as the European Sales Manager at Aeroflex from 1996 to 2000 and at Sanken Electric from 1993 to 1996. Robert started their career at Silicon Systems Inc as an Area Manager for Europe from 1984 to 1992.

Before entering the semiconductor industry, Sharman worked as an Applications Engineer at Western Digital from 1983 to 1984 and as the London Service Manager at Exxon Office Systems from 1980 to 1983.

Robert Sharman completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London from 1972 to 1975. Additionally, they also obtained an Associate of the City and Guilds Institute in Electrical Engineering during the same period from the City & Guilds Institute in London.
