Alex Barnes is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as an Associate and Project Engineer at Degenkolb Engineers since January 2018. Previously, Alex held the position of Structural Project Engineer at Coughlin Porter Lundeen from March 2013 to September 2017. Prior to that, Alex was a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia from April 2011 to February 2013 and worked as an Engineer at Hinman Consulting Engineers and GSA in 2010 and 2009, respectively. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Master of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
