Oussama Kardi has extensive experience in policy response and resilience within various governmental roles. Currently serving as the Resilience, Assessments & International Risks Team Lead at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since August 2021, Oussama has held multiple leadership positions related to contingencies planning and monitoring. A notable secondment to the Cabinet Office provided strategic advisory support to the Omani government. Earlier roles within the Civil Service Fast Stream included Contingencies Officer and Policy Adviser at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, with significant contributions to international resilience initiatives during critical events such as the EU Exit and the COVID-19 response. Oussama holds a Master of Science in International Relations from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Studies from the University of Exeter.
