Karen Graley has extensive experience in packaging, holding significant positions in various companies since 1988. Currently, Karen serves as the Producer Representative for the Extended Producer Responsibility for Packaging Scheme at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, contributing as an industry expert to shape the scheme's operational design and strategic direction. Karen is also a founding Director at OPRL Limited, where since 2009, collaboration has occurred with the British Retail Consortium and Waste and Resources Action Programme on packaging initiatives. Previous roles include Head of Packaging for M&S Food and Manager of Packaging Innovation and Delivery at Waitrose, where successful packaging strategies and innovations were overseen. Earlier career highlights include serving as Packaging Design Manager at Safeway plc, achieving numerous accolades for innovation and efficiency, and roles in design management and technical account handling at various firms. Educational background includes attendance at Gateacre Comprehensive from 1981 to 1987.
